back yard farm

came across this article from sierra club, Backyard Homesteads: Honey, I Shrunk the Farm.
a very inspiring read. i am intrigued and this may be my reason to reconsider and buy a house. that way i'd have the option to turn my back yard into a farm. i have always been very impressed and a little jealous of farmers. seems like it would be a hard but completely fulfilling life.
not to mention all the cute little goats are hanging out everywhere.

which reminds me of my wknd, i went to the orange county fair.
had the best time walking through the barns checking out all the pygmy goats, pigs, Clydesdale horses, and steers. it was so interesting walking through the farm as well. amongst seeing many plants i learned how brussel sprouts and peanuts grow. i really had no idea, but then again i guess i never put much thought into it. i love learning.
that evening we were lucky enough to see bill cosby do a stand up comedy performance as well. that man has been cracking me up since i was a little one watching the cosby show and he's still got it. i will be sure to post some pictures as we were eleven rows back from the stage and i got some great candid bill cosby expressions.
do yourself a favor and check if he's coming to your town, i highly recommend going to see him.
